Olympics

 

Yesterday I was writing about if the Olympics should be on or not. I thought it should not be on.  Do you think the Olympics should be on or off? I learnt that the athletes have to train for 4 years.   

Pepeha

Today we were doing a Pepeha we were doing it for our waka. We had to put in are name were we came from and were we live now then we could put some photos in. I live in Hokitika and I come from Christchurch.

Haiku Poem

  

This is my Haiku poem. I really enjoyed it because it is fun to count how many words are in the sentences.

Colour Poem

I really enjoyed doing my Colour Poem because I had never done it before and plus it was fun to do. My favourite  thing about this was learning how to do it. It was hard at first but I got used to it.

Term Two Reflection

At school my favourite thing to do is reading because  it is fun to learn more words.
When I was younger I had no idea  how to read and since I have been practicing a Iot I have
been learning new words. 

I am great at running at the Cross Country and this year I got second in the Year three girls.  

I need to work  on doing my reading because I want to get better at it. I want to get better at
reading so I can read chapter books. 

My favourite part of the term has been doing art when we have been doing the clowns as I
have been practicing drawing them at home.

There hasn’t been a part of the term that I haven’t liked.                                                               

cross country

On Friday the whole school went to cross country. We had lots of teachers around because we walked to the cross country. It was really really muddy when we were there. My shoes were so so muddy my Mum had to wash them. The place we went to for cross country was  Mr Morison's house, it was their farm. My year group was the second last to start running. I was running my best and I came second. It felt so good to get second I was so proud of myself to came second. Last year I came third and this year I came second. All About Me

Hi my name is Sofia. I go to Kaniere school. I am 7 years old. My favourite food is pizza with bacon on it. I am a year 3 student. My friends are Shae, Renny and Kaylee. I am good at swimming because I can do freestyle. I like doing art. I like going on the bars is at the park. I want to get better at doing maths this year.I am looking forward to doing reading this year.

Art

First we got a big piece  of paper then we dyed  the piece of paper. We had to let  the paper dry. When the dye  dried we had to print  the writing off and glue it and cut it. Then we had to get our photo taken and get that printed as well.  Then we had to glue our picture to the paper. I could be better at cutting out the words. I think I am good at gluing. I am good at dying the piece of paper.

SAFE WALKING WITH CONSTABLE JOS

We have been learning to walk safely.  Constable Jos has been teaching us.  You have to listen for cars because you can get run over if you step out on the road without listening. You have to walk in the middle of the footpath and not on the edge close to the road.  You should wear shoes and look out for sneaky driveways too.  If there is a scary dog you should not look at it and you have to walk away slowly.  My favourite part was when we got to go outside and walk across the road.
