Yesterday I made two daffodils using a stensil of a 3 petaled flower that i found on the internet. I used two to make six petals and with two different coloured papers and glued it together.  Then we got the egg carton and cut the the bottoms off and painted them orange.  Then i painted the iceblock sticks green for the stem. And  hot glued the ice block stick  to the flower. Have you ever made a daffodil?

Olympics

 

Yesterday I was writing about if the Olympics should be on or not. I thought it should not be on.  Do you think the Olympics should be on or off? I learnt that the athletes have to train for 4 years.   

Matariki Art

 Yesterday we did Matariki art work. To make Matariki art  you will need newsprint, pencil, scissors, images of a mountain range, A4 black paper, pastel chalks, stick on stars, hairspray, white mounting paper, and a glue stick. First you have to get newsprint  and draw a range line with a pencil then cut it out and put the newsprint  on the A4 black paper.  Get some chalk pastels and make lines going upward on the  A4 black paper then smudge the chalk pastels upward. Then you put on stick on stars in the Matariki star pattern. Next spray some hairspray on the art so the chalk pastels don't smudge.  Lastly glue the white mounting paper on the back of the art with a glue stick. I really like the end result. Place Value

 Yesterday  I did Maths with Mrs Burt.  A math game we played was called rocket we needed are math books and we had to draw a rocket and  have  5 spaces.  We had to roll 2  dices  and  then what you do after  is you chose I
got  2 and 6 then I can chose if i wanted 62 or 26  say I want 26 I would put it at the bottom of the rocket but if I get a number lower then that I will get out but if I get a number higher then I can keep going up on the rocket.

skateboard

 Today a Giant skateboard  came to are school it was the biggest one I have ever  seen in my life. Every one wanted to go on  the top of the skateboard but we could not so everyone went under it. Everyone was so excited. It came because you do skateboarding in  the Olympics now. Have you ever seen a big skateboard  like this before?

Facts

 Today we have been learning  about facts for Coast to Coast.  And there will be another race in 2022.

Bech clean up

 On Thursday  After athletics we walked to the bech and did a beach clean up we found a few things but I thought that we would find a littil  bit more its like some one all ready cleand up the beach. Have you ever done a beach clean up

Cricket

 Yesterday we played cricket. we had to guys came and teach us they split us into to groups we had to bade up and play paper siziz rock and who ever one was in one grop and whoever did'int win went I another group. The pepole who won wer hitting the ball and the people who did'int win were the fielders.

Swimming

Today we did swimming. We left to go swimming at 10:15.  I did breaststroke,   freestyle,  backstroke,  back float and dolphin dive. I was doing full lengths. For swimming sports I am  doing 2 lengths back stroke 1 lengths freestyle and 1 lengths breastroke. I am excited for swimming sports it is really fun.

Chromebook pet

 

 Today we had cybersmart. got to colour in we got to chose what photo to colour in we got the photos from the art colouring site. It was very fun to colour in because we could chose what ever colour we wanted. 

Papercopters

 Today we made papercopters.  We found it hard to get the papercopters to fly properly. We got to put stickers on them once we got them to fly properly.  I put a star and a dog.  My favourite part was racing Renny to see which papercopter was the fastest.  I had fun making the papercopter. It was part of are reading tasks because are reading was about helicopter. Have you ever done it?

kite

 This week we have been making kites this is my kite. It is very fun to make .🪁  Lucy and Xanthe are really good at it so they are kind of the teachers because they got groups  of people and they had to teach us. They are made out of toe toe and we made them for Matariki.

Today my class  did a collage. This is my collage it is a cat/giraffe/duck. I did this by going into explore. I searched up all the photos I needed. When I searched up my image I added PNG and this made it so it doesn't have a background. It was fun. Have you ever tried doing a collage like this?

Today we did something called Barrier Game. We got put into partners and I was with Louis.  I had to tell Louis where he had to put the shapes and he had to tell me where I had to put mine. That's why we could not look at each others shapes and we had to try to get it to be the some as the photo. We had to listen really hard what the other person was saying.  Have you ever done this before?

El Grehoe

Yesterday  we had EL Gregoe come. He is a Magician he made all different kinds of birds disappear and come back and even a Rabbit. It was named Fluffy Bum and when he said it he turned Fluffy Bam around and wiggled Fluffy Bum tail. He talked to us about ,  Being Responsible, Respect, Resilient, Empathy and Bullying.

This week for our weekly challenge we had to make  cool crystals. The first ones we did were sugar and salt, the second one  was Himalaya pink salt, Barax and Potassium permanganate. The sugar and the salt ones havent grown as good as the borax one. The Barax has grown really fast.

Yesterday  we went down to the garden. I had a shovel and I put it down in dirt and pulled it up. We had to get all of the weeds out. I liked  getting the dirt out and pulling the weeds. It made the garden look tidier  and  we were careful that we did not pull the plants out.

Today we had to work with the ruma Kotuku. We helped them make a slide and then we turned it into an animation. They had to choose a place that they wanted to go in their bubble. Then we took a photo of them. They got to choose if they were laying down or sitting.   We had buddies and my buddy  was Isla and because are class had more people I was also with Lucy.

Book creator

 For Cybersmart we had to make are own comic. My comic was about talking with my friends. My favorite part was talking photos. The hardest part was getting the photos and putting the  talking in the right places Have you ever done Book creator?
